The Rosary is a meditation on the life of Jesus, through His Mother's eyes and heart, and with each "Hail Mary," we are asking her to pray for us now, and at the very hour of our death.
















The Rosary is for all people, all faiths, all religions.  Anyone can easily learn the Rosary, and obtain the abundant blessings it offers.

God is a "Mystery"---and as learned as one may become in the theology of the Divine, God is still a mystery to us.  No one knows all there is to know about God.  The learned Evangelist, Dr. Charles Stanley, once remarked that every time he reads a passage from his Bible, he learns something...even if he's read it before.  Even the greatest minds are still humbled in discovering God's ways, even unto their last day.  The Rosary sheds light in our journey of faith.  It is that supernatural grace obtained by the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary that strengthens us during those unexpected moments of great temptation or doubt.  The graces obtained from the Rosary "illuminates the pathway" before us in our journey of faith.

The Rosary is a great weapon and feared by Satan and his demons.  The Rosary has power over all evil and all of earth's weaponry.  Those who are dedicated to praying the Rosary obtain many great blessings for themselves, their families and for the whole world.

                 "And Mary said:  My soul doth magnify the Lord.  And my spirit hath rejoiced
                  in God my Saviour.  Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; 
                  for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed...."   Luke 1:46-48

                                                 The History of the Rosary

The Rosary was given to St. Dominic by the Blessed Mother, herself, in 1208.  As a priest, St. Dominic traveled from village to village throughout France trying to teach the Faith, but he was met with great opposition.  One day he complained about his fruitless efforts in a prayer to the Blessed Virgin.  She responded:  "Wonder not that you have obtained so little fruit by your labors.  You have spent them on barren soil, not yet watered with the dew of Divine Grace.  When God willed to renew the face of the earth, He began by sending down on it the fertilizing rain of the Angelic Salutation.  Therefore, preach my Psalter, composed of 150 Angelic Salutations and 15 Our Fathers and you will obtain an abundant harvest."

                                                The Rosary is Scriptural 

The "Angelic Salutation" is found in Luke 1:28, as the Archangel Gabriel addressed Mary:  "And the angel being come in, said unto her:  'Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee:  blessed art thou among women.'"  When Elizabeth greeted Mary, Scripture tells us:  "And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:  And she cried out with a loud voice, and said:  Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb."    Luke 1:41-42

The Angelic Salutation and Elizabeth's greeting is the essence of the Rosary prayer, and with each "Hail Mary" we ask the Blessed Mother to pray for us:

       "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,
        Blessed art thou among women,
        And Blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
        Holy Mary, Mother of God,
        Pray for us sinners, now,

Application:  Historical evidence of the miracle of the Rosary

                                                        The Battle of Lepanto                                          
In 1571 Muslim forces had conquered much territory from the Christians throughout Europe and were threatening even further advancement.  Pope Pius V asked Christian rulers from several countries to form a large naval fleet in order to battle the threatening aggression of the Ottoman Turks.  He asked all of the faithful to implore the Blessed Virgin Mary's help by praying the Rosary as the Christian navy assembled and prepared to enter into battle.  This Christian fleet, known as the "Holy League," was commanded by Don Juan of Austria, and one of its admirals, Andrea Doria, proudly displayed an image of "Our Lady of Guadalupe" on board his ship. 

Just prior to the "Battle of Lepanto" on that famous Oct. 7th, 1571, Don Juan encouraged the Christian navy by sailing past each ship with a Banner of Our Lady while praying the Rosary.

Some historians tell of a sudden change in wind direction that gave favor to the Christians just as the conflict began.  The great battle lasted for 5 hours.  In the end, the Christian forces greatly overpowered the Turkish fleet, and also freed thousands of Christian slaves that had been imprisoned as oarsmen aboard the enemy ships. 

The great weapon in that decisive battle to save Christian Europe was the Rosary.  In thanksgiving for such a great victory, the Pope dedicated October 7th in honor of "Our Lady of Victory."  This was later changed to "Our Lady of the Rosary."

                                                   Praying the Rosary

Sometimes people become distracted during the Rosary, or put it off, thinking they'll pray it later....but they never do.  Remember how important the Rosary is.  One Hail Mary, prayed from the heart, can prompt a conversion or change world events. 

If you become distracted or disinterested, try some of the following suggestions.

Write the names of 50 people you will pray for each time you pray the Rosary.  Offer each Hail Mary for a particular person, but expand your prayers to include the intentions of Our Blessed Mother and the whole world.

Examples:  "...Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for "Sarah" now, and at the hour of her death.  Amen"     OR,
"...pray for the homeless, (the suicidal, or those who will die this day) now and at the hour of their death.  Amen"

Pray as a family, with a friend, or as a group (for a commitment), or you can use a CD, the TV---EWTN (7:30 & 11:30 AM, 3:30, or 9:30 PM) or the web-site:   www.comepraytherosary.org, which is an excellent audio/video on-line Rosary. 

Pray for our country---one "Hail Mary" for each state.  Consider the following Holy Love message regarding:

Mary appeared to the Holy Love visionary in 1985 holding a large Rosary.  She saw the beads of the Rosary change into the shapes of the 50 states.  In a subsequent vision from 7/13/97, she saw the states slip off the string of the Rosary and land in a pile at the Blessed Mother's feet.  Our Lady said:  "This I tell you, My daughter, your country has separated by choice from God.  Hang on, hang on to this golden thread."

7/15/97  "The Blessed Virgin is here as she was twice earlier today and the states are piled up in a heap at her feet.  She is holding a golden thread in her hand.  She says:  'Dear children, I come in praise of Jesus.  I ask you to understand the tenuous position your country is in.  Now, the remnant is clinging to My Immaculate Heart through this message of Holy Love, which is also the links of the chain of the Rosary.  I come to you, asking you to make this known, so that all will realize the peril your nation is in.  With a tender heart I come to you, with a Mother's love asking you.  Make this known."  

7/17/97  "Once again, Blessed Mother is here as Mary, Refuge of Holy Love.  She has all 50 states in a pile at her feet.  There are two angels with Blessed Mother.  One angel picks up one of the states and hands it to the other one.  It is like sand in his hand; then it turns into gold with some of the sand falling out as it is changing.  The gold is then given to Our lady who places it into Her Immaculate Heart.  Our lady says:  'These are the faithful and righteous who have persevered in faith.  Dear children, pray with me now for all the unbelievers.  Dear children, I continue to come to you so that the faithful remnant will be increased and strengthened.  Humbly understand that you are living in apocalyptic times and that this is a place of revelation--holy revelation.  Tonight, I am asking you to accept your place in these times and to increase the grace in your hearts by your efforts through prayer and sacrifice..."

                                               The Ark of the New Covenant
1/12/11 (Holy Love Message from Jesus)  "Holy Love is the Heart of My Mother and the Ark of this new Covenant of Love. The Ark of this final Covenant is not physical but spiritual. The physical presence of this Mission in the world (the property, the Messages, conversions, healings) are doorways to the Ark of the new Covenant of Love."

                          "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign.
                          Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,
                          and his name shall be called Emmanuel."  (Isaias 7:14 / Matthew 1:23)

Mary's "Yes" to the Angel Gabriel was the beginning of the New Testament.  Her "Yes" (or Fiat) is like that blank page in our Bible that tells us the Old Testament is finished, and a New Testament will now begin.  Consider the gravity of Mary's decision.  God created her as a Pure Vessel for the salvation of the world.  Her heart, soul and body was a pure Tabernacle for the Lord Jesus, Whom she conceived in union with the Holy Spirit.  That is why she is sometimes referred to as the "Spouse of the Holy Spirit."

The Blessed Virgin Mary had to be pure and holy (Immaculate), just as the Old Testament Ark of the Covenant was pure and holy, because she was to nourish with her own blood, and carry within her own womb, the Savior of the world, Who is One in Being with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Consider how priests had to keep themselves pure in order to offer sacrifices (Leviticus Ch. 22)---or how they treated the Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament.  It was so revered that great measures of purification were undertaken for one to even approach its Presence.  When It was being carried through the desert by oxen at David's command, at one point It became unsteady.  A man named Oza put forth his hand to touch It and was struck dead.  (1 Paralipomenon/1st Chronicles 13:9-10)  Similarily, the "New Ark of the Covenant" (In Jesus Christ) had to be pure and holy.  In an apparition to St. Bernadette in Lourdes, France, in 1858, the Blessed Virgin identified herself as "The Immaculate Conception."  She, herself, was conceived without the stain of original sin.  In God's mysterious power, He necessarily created Mary sinless and pure, just as Adam and Eve were before their fall from grace.  We see how God sometimes makes exceptions, as in the life of St. John the Baptist.  Scripture tells us that St. John was "filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb." - (Luke 1:150)  God's Creative Hand is not restrained by man's expectations or judgments.

Mary's role in the early Church among the apostles was very important.  She lived with Jesus for 33 years, knowing Him more intimately than anyone else on earth.  After Jesus' death, Mary would have provided details to all the disciples about the early life of Jesus, as can be seen in the documentation from Matthew and Luke.  She would have encouraged the apostles in the new Faith in those early years of the Church, and she was in the Upper Room as the Holy Spirit descended upon them.  From the Cross, one of the last things Jesus did was to entrust His Mother to St. John, and St. John to His Mother, thus, indicating to us that His Mother was our Mother also. 

Abraham's great faith---his trust in the message of an angel, and his willingness to sacrifice his only son---brought upon him a great blessing from God, not only for himself, but for his offspring as well. 

"I will bless thee, and I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that is by the sea shore...And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because thou hast obeyed my voice."  (Genesis 22:17-18)

Like Abraham, Mary demonstrated extraordinary faith in God and a willingness to give herself completely to His Divine Will.  She believed in the message of an angel telling her that she would become the Virgin Mother of the Savior of the World---an impossible concept, but she believed.  As Abraham became the Father of a great nation of people, so too, has the Virgin Mary become the Mother of many children...of all those who love her and are dedicated to her Motherhood, her maternal guidance. 

As the Mother of Christ, she is the Mother of the Church, our Mother, and as we on earth cherish pictures of our mothers and grandmothers who may be deceased, Mary's children hold statues and pictures of her dear to their hearts as well.  (They do not worship images, or Mary.)    People often show their respect to such items as flags, tombstones, monuments and historical places.  We also show reverence to famous people (who may not lead very admirable lives).  We show much respect to material things, such as cars, jewelry and other adornments that draw the attention and admiration of others.  ----And so, respecting a reminder of the Blessed Mother...our true Spiritual Mother, is not something to be shunned, but encouraged.  Jesus would be honored.

We on earth ask each other to pray for us, but how much greater is the prayer of the one who is without sin and already in Heaven with her Son.  Her prayer is so pure.  She can obtain for us what we might consider "the impossible."

The "Hail Mary" states that she is the "Mother of God," but that is because Jesus said He is One with the Father.  It does not suggest that she created God the Father, as some might confuse.

    "Phillip, he that seeth me seeth the Father also.  How sayest thou, Shew us the Father?
     Do you not believe, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me..."  (John 14:9-10)

If there are some things that are hard to understand about devotion to the Mother of Our Lord, or the Rosary, do not let it become a stumbling block for you.  Pray and trust.  She will always assist those who want to come closer to her Son through her Maternal Heart.  Devotion to her Immaculate Heart and the Rosary is truly like attending the "School  of Mary."  Somehow, she instructs her children in the way of wisdom, grace and knowledge of the Truth.  Go to Jesus, through His Mother.  2000 years ago, at Bethlehem or Nazareth, you would have had to go through Mary...in order to see Jesus.

                                                                 Gold Rosaries

While kneeling and praying the Rosary before a statue of the Blessed Mother at a Catholic Church one day, the chain of this Rosary began to sparkle, or twinkle.  The first picture was taken that day.  Within a day or so, it turned a completely golden color.  The last picture is blurry (from the early 1990's) but the rich gold color can still be seen (it was placed next to a silver one for comparison).  Many people claim to have experienced the phenomenon of the "Gold Rosary."  Our Lady has said that when we pray from the heart, our prayers are like gold ascending to Heaven.


























Some have complained that "The Rosary is repetitious." - In the Book of 2nd Kings, Chapter 5, it details how Naaman consulted Elisha about the possibility of a cure for his leprosy.  Elisha told him to go and wash---not once, but 7 times in the Jordan, and he would be healed.  But Naaman went away angry because it seemed to be an odd request and he expected Elisha to just move his hand and cure him on the spot.  "But his servants came up and reasoned with him.  'My father,' they said, 'if the prophet had told you to do something extraordinary, would you not have done it?' "  After Naaman finally obeyed and washed himself 7 times in the Jordan, his flesh was healed.

We can also consider the parable Jesus gave us about the Judge in Luke, Chapter 18.  "He told them a parable on the necessity of praying always and not losing heart."  The widow in that parable kept pleading with the Judge until he finally gave in to her request...because she was wearing him out with her pleas.

The most important point to make about the repetition of the Rosary is this.  Consider 50 people who need a prayer today---maybe your children or a friend, or perhaps people you don't even know.  Maybe it's someone who will decide to abort their child, or someone who's dying, one who will be in a car accident later, or a desperate soul who's considering suicide.  When we offer that one "Hail Mary" for them, the Blessed Mother goes before her Son and makes a request for their good.  She obtains graces for them that can change situations.  How frightful it is to consider that people are not praying the Rosary at all hours, day and night, throughout the world.

Holy Love - 9/9/93 (Mary)  "Dear little children, Jesus has sent me to ask of you extra prayers, as many prayers as you can offer, for such is the need of Our Hearts.  Every prayer you offer is already used up by my Son, Whose Heart is greatly offended.  Therefore, my little children, pray, pray, pray."

Can you imagine that?  Every prayer is already use up?!  How important it is that we persevere in prayer...especially the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  Evil is increasing, and often-times, in our busyness, our prayers are decreasing.  Victory will come through Our Lady's army of prayer warriors.

                            Biblical References to The Woman

1.  At the very beginning of the Bible:  "And the Lord God said to the serpent...I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed:  she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel."  Genesis 3:14-15 (Some recent translations have changed this.)

2.  Middle Old Testament prophecy:  "for the Lord hath created a new thing upon the earth:  A woman shall compass a man."  Jeremiah 31:22

3.  Middle New Testament - Jesus referred to His Mother as Woman, instead of Mother at the wedding feast at Cana (John 2:4), and he gave his mother to John (and to us all), just before He died on the Cross.  "When Jesus therefore had seen his mother and the disciple standing whom he loved, he saith to his mother:  Woman, behold thy son.  After that, he saith to the disciple:  Behold thy mother.  And from that hour, the disciple took her to his own."  John 19:26-27

4.  At the end of the Bible:  "And a great sign appeared in heaven:  A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars:  And being with child...And she brought forth a male child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod:  and her son was taken up to God, and to his throne..."  Apocalypse 12:1,2,5

                                  Her Army

"Thou art beautiful, O my love, sweet and comely as Jerusalem:  terrible as an army set in array...One is my dove, my perfect one is but one...Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?"  Canticle of Canticles (Song of Songs) 6:3,8,9

Mary's children, who pray the Rosary and offer their sacrifices and crosses, and who spread her messages and devotions, are her "army."  The following Holy Love messages refer to her Army, which is Jesus' Army.

4/7/94  Our lady is here and has many roses and crosses suspended in the air all around Her.  She is dressed in blue and gold brocade.  She says:  "Pray with Me now for those who do not love and do not pray."  We prayed.  "Dear children, tonight I have come to invite you to realize that the Cross is Divine Love, and Holy Love is a Cross.  Each cross brings with it grace to bear it.  These days I raise up an army of victim souls---the heel that will crush Satan's head.  Further, realize, the remnant which is now being formed in hearts is built on Holy Love.  I extend to you My Motherly Blessing." 

7/21/96  "Dear child, please take down my words in praise of Jesus.  I come to speak to all nations---all people.  Today, in your country, a horrendous sin, that of partial birth abortion, is being considered as a viable law.  Not only is this worse than Herod's slaughter of the innocents, it is a precedent for other nations to follow suit.  My army of consecrated souls must be the voice crying in the desert.  As children of Mary, you must make your voices heard above the din of complacent consciences.  Satan could not have attempted such a blatant, godless law 10 years ago.  But today, because righteousness lies dormant in hearts, his actions go almost unnoticed.

Dear children, it is up to you to be My voice in the world.  Bring the Ten Commandments alive again.  They have not changed.  Speak up for My Holy Love message.  You must be My message in the world.  We are outnumbered, and so you must pray for strength.  My grace is your strength.  My Heart will achieve victory in an through you.  When you pursue My goals, My blessing is upon you."

7/5/07  (Jesus)  "Today I remind you---not to choose to be part of My Army of Love---is to choose.  You must be with me.  There is a battle going on in hearts---a spiritual battle---between good and evil that most do not recognize.  I am appointing each of you who live according to these Messages to be recruitment officers for this Army of Love, by spreading the Messages, by praying the Rosary of the Unborn; for this, too, is a way of bringing souls to me."

10/11/07  "I am your Jesus, born Incarnate.  Today I tell you, it is sacrificial love that wins the conversion of souls.  When you sacrifice with a loving heart for the good of another, I am able to reach out with strength and power which you have earned for that soul through sacrificial love.  Love must be at the heart of all prayer, all good works, all sacrifice; the deeper the love, the more meritorious the action.  I desire all people realize this so as to strengthen My army against evil."

3/30/08  (Jesus)  "My Mother, who assists Me in My every need, is forming under Her mantle of Love, an army of victim souls.  These victims of love sacrifice and pray for the conversion of unbelievers and the unity of all mankind in Our United Hearts.  These victims must not take pride in their suffering or sacrificial lives.  This defeats My purpose, as victimhood should be offered as charity---the right hand not noticing what the left is doing."

11/9/84 To Fr. Gobbi:  (Mary gave details about her "plan" years before she began appearing to the Holy Love Visionary.)  "In 1917 at Fatima I anticipated it, as in a prophetic announcement, at the moment when the great struggle between the Woman Clothed with the Sun and the Red Dragon became evident, a struggle which was to last throughout the whole century, as a proud challenge to God on the part of my Adversary, who was certain that he would succeed in destroying the Church and in bringing all humanity to a universal rejection of God.  The Lord has granted him this space of time, because in the end the pride of the Red Dragon will be broken and conquered by the humility, the littleness, and the power of your Heavenly Mother, the Woman Clothed with the Sun, who is now gathering all her little children into her army, drawn up for battle."  ----and since 1984, Mary has been appearing throughout the world, gathering together her children, her army, and her message has never wavered.

                                                    The Army of Prayer

In January, 2012, at the Holy Love apparition site, the Blessed Mother gave a series of messages that confirm the need for the great unified prayer effort that prayflorida.com is trying to encourage. 

1/1/12 - ARMY OF PRAYER - Blessed Mother says: "Praise be to Jesus." (Our Lady is in white and gold.)

She says: "Dear children, it is important that you realize that abortion is the key issue which is bringing about the demise of mankind. If abortion was defeated, the path of reconciliation between the heart of the world and God the Father would be laid bare. Then you would see wars cease, economies stabilize under righteous leadership, moral degeneration reversed, disease and famine greatly resolved and natural, as well as manmade disasters, lessen."

"For I tell you, evil begets evil. Remember, dear children, one Hail Mary said from the heart can stop wars, heal diseases, change hearts and bring victory of righteousness over evil. Therefore, I have come to mobilize an Army of Prayer - not just here, but around the world. I call it ONE ROSARY A DAY FOR LIFE. This is your Heavenly Mother's call to arms. Be united in this effort, dear children, as I call you to be. Jesus and I will help you spread 'One Rosary a Day for Life' around the world.  You do not need anyone's approval to pray or to evangelize prayer. You should encourage people from every part of the world to enlist in this 'army' of prayer."

"I am always your Mother, your support, your partner in all that is good; but this Army of Prayer must be spread quickly to be effective - and, so, it is My most precious and personal project."

In order to enlist in the army - 'One Rosary a Day for Life' - all that is needed is your heart. Each present moment is an opportunity to enlist new recruits."

1/7/12 - (Jesus) "I am your Jesus, born Incarnate.  Those who love Me and who live in the reality of Truth should not oppose this Army of Prayer Against Abortion; for to do so, empowers Satan's evil encouragement of abortion - a grave sin.  Moreover, all who hear of this Army of Prayer have a solemn obligation to answer Heaven's call to arms, and pray the One Rosary a Day Against Abortion.  I encourage anyone of influence to promote this."

1/8/12 - (Jesus)  "I am your Jesus, born Incarnate.  This prayer effort - this Army of Prayer - is part of My Mercy during these last days. Make no mistake that My Mercy will be followed by My Justice. Now is the time to save lives and souls by enlisting in this Holy Army."

6/8/96  (Blessed Mother)  "I need to strengthen My army of consecrated souls.  These are the ones who surrender to me their past, present, and future.  Promote the consecration to the Flame of My Heart by printing it on a prayer card.  The core of this mission is comprised of My generals.  I ask that you promote this!  Promote this!  Promote this!"

4/16/95  "Take up your pen, My angel.  Here is the beginning of My prayer:

                                 The Consecration to the Flame of Holy Love."

       "Immaculate Heart of Mary, humbly, I ask that You take my heart into the Flame of Holy Love,
        that is the spiritual refuge of all mankind.  Do not look upon my faults and failings, but allow
        these iniquities to be burned away by this purifying Flame.

        Through Holy Love, help me to be sanctified in the present moment, and in so doing, give
        to You, dear Mother, my every thought, word and action.  Take me and use me according to
        your great pleasure.  Allow me to be Your instrument in the world, all for the greater glory
       of God and towards your victorious reign.  Amen."

"The souls that thus consecrate themselves relinquish to Me all their faults, their sins---both past and future, their virtues---those they have and will have, their sorrows, their joys and their fears.  I will reign in their hearts being victorious over besetting sins.  I will take dominion over interior and exterior goods.  I ask only their undying faithfulness to living in Holy Love, and to spreading the message of Holy Love.  In so doing, they will be My instruments in leading souls into the New Jerusalem."

Souls that desire to make this consecration must for 3 days prepare their hearts.  Each day I desire that they perform some corporal work of mercy.  Each day they must evangelize the Holy Love message to at least one person.  Each day they must reverently receive My Son in the Eucharist (if Catholic).  These 3 days of light will serve as armor against the 3 days of darkness that are to come.  This is God's Merciful Love I am giving to humanity through you.    (The 3 days of darkness is noted in Scripture:  "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood:  before the great and dreadful day of the Lord doth come."  Joel 2:31)

We would encourage all denominations to take up the practice of praying the Rosary in your place of worship.  Several years ago, there was an article in a major magazine explaining that many of our men and women fighting the War in Iraq were requesting Rosaries....and they weren't even Catholic.  Mary is calling us all to entrust ourselves and our intentions to her holy intercession.  She will help us....and she will help our nation, if we ask her.
